Big congrats to Northwestern University in Qatar’s women’s basketball team! They won the Qatari collegiate basketball league tournament championship over the weekend with a 26-21 victory over Qatar Academy! Co-captain and senior Dana Atrach, who helped start the team in her freshman year, was awarded the tournament’s MVP trophy. Sophomores Maha Al-Ansari, Gena El Aker, and junior Sarah Sabry received all-star team awards. Go ‘Cats!
